Global Workplace Analytics, an organization that studies and promotes flexible work situations and telecommuting reports that telecommuting has grown almost 80% from 2005 to 2012 across sectors such as state government (122% growth), non-profit (87%), for-profit (70%) and local government (62%).
Researcher Jessica Howington said, "Another trend that we continue to see is the overall variety in job titles that you wouldn't expect. For example, recent jobs added include Clinical Development Analyst, Senior Vice President, Package Designer, and Implementation Engineer."

As more people seek such opportunities, FlexJobs, a site that lists remote, flexible and part-time job openings, has identified the top 20 most popular popular job titles offering telecommuting roles. Below, the list shows the diversity of the most popular work-from-home positions:
