Stocks to Watch Thursday: eBay, B. of A.

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) � EBay Inc., Bank Of America Corp. and Morgan Stanley are among the stocks that could see active trading on Thursday.

Stocks rise to multi-month highs and the Standard & Poor's 500-stock index finishes above 1300 for the first time since July as home-builder sentiment hits its highest level since 2007.

After the market closed, online auction provider eBay EBAY �said it expects revenue for the first quarter to come in the range of $3.05 billion to $3.15 billion, with earnings between 50 and 51 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet Research had been expecting earnings of 54 cents a share on revenue of $3.16 billion for the period.

Apple Inc. AAPL �is hosting an event in New York on Thursday to announce digital tools for textbook publishing, according to media reports.

TransCanada Corp. TRP �said Wednesday it plans to re-apply for permission from the U.S. government to build the Keystone pipeline after President Barack Obama denied its bid.

Bank of America BAC �is expected to report fourth-quarter earnings of 22 cents a share on revenue of $23.74 billion, according to a survey of analysts taken by FactSet Research.

Morgan Stanley MS �is seen posting a fourth-quarter loss of 57 cents a share, while revenue totals $5.99 billion.

Insurance giant Progressive Corp. PGR �is expected to report a fourth-quarter profit of 35 cents a share on revenue of $3.57 billion.

UnitedHealth Group Inc. UNH �is expected to post a fourth-quarter profit of $1.03 a share on revenue of $25.6 billion.

Huntington Bancshares Inc. HBAN �is seen posting a fourth-quarter profit of 14 cents a share on revenue of $652.3 million.

Johnson Controls Inc. JCI � is seen posting a fiscal first-quarter profit of 62 cents a share on revenue of $10.53 billion.

Southwest Airlines Co. LUV �is expected to report a profit of 8 cents a share for the fourth quarter, on revenue of $4.12 billion.

Rockwell Collins Inc. COL �is expected to report a first-quarter profit of 84 cents a share on sales of $1.09 billion.

BlackRock Inc. BLK �is expected to report a fourth-quarter profit of $2.97 a share on revenue of $2.24 billion.

BB&T Corp. BBT �is seen posting a fourth-quarter profit of 53 cents a share on sales of $2.18 billion.

Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold Inc. FCX �is expected to report fourth-quarter earnings of 61 cents a share on revenue of $3.85 billion.
