I’ll have some more detailed analysis shortly on the WSJ report that Apple (AAPL) has two new iPhones in the works – including one that would target CDMA carriers like Verizon Wireless (VZ, VOD) and Sprint (S) – but I wanted to give you a quick look at the early Street reaction to the news:
Winners:
- Apple is up $4.31, or 1.9%, to $236.70
- Verizon is up 68 cents, or 2.2%, to $31.13.
- Vodafone (which owns 45% of Verizon Wireless) is up 14 cents, or 0.6%, to $23.14.
- Sprint is up 2 cents, at $3.81.
- Qualcomm (QCOM), which makes CDMA chips, is up 44 cents, or 1%, to $42.20.
Losers:
- AT&T (T) is down 23 cents, or 0.9%, to $26.28.
- Research In Motion (RIMM) is down $1.60, or 2.1%, to $74.10.
- Palm (PALM) is down 10 cents, or 2.6%, to $3.80.
