Fans of the Food Network, Cooking Channel, and Travel Channel can now stream their favorite TV shows on Amazon's (NASDAQ: AMZN ) Prime Instant Video.
The e-commerce giant�has struck a deal with Scripps Networks Interactive (NYSE: SNI ) to make Prime Instant Video the exclusive, online, subscription home for the past seasons of hit TV shows from Scripps' family of TV channels.�This is the first kind of deal Scripps Networks Interactive has signed. However,�this isn't the first time Amazon and Scripps Networks have partnered -- Scripps Networks already sells branded books, cookware, furniture, accessories and more on Amazon.com.
In addition to the list above, the deal includes shows from HGTV and DIY Network. A few series that are available for viewing right now are�Rachael Ray's Week in a Day;�Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations;�Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives;�Iron Chef America; Man v. Food;�Chopped; Ghost Adventures;�and�Yard Crashers. Many of these shows will also be available for purchase and download from Amazon Instant Video.
This news comes on the heels of several recent, exclusive content deals. Last week, CBS�agreed that Prime Instant Video will be the exclusive subscription home for the summer series�Under the Dome. Moreover, Prime Instant Video will soon become the exclusive online subscription home for�PBS�hit�Downton Abbey.�Currently, Prime members can access more than 38,000 movies and TV episodes on Amazon's streaming service.
