Bankers Boycott Mario Batali

Celebrity Chef Mario Batali is getting backlash from bankers.

The phrases "Boycott Batali" and "BataliGate" are trending on Twitter after Forbes published a story quoting Batali during Time magazine's person of the year luncheon as saying bankers are as evil as Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin.Batali later defended himself on Twitter saying he was deliberately misquoted by Forbes. Nonetheless, it has left a sour taste in bankers mouths'. The Twitosphere is on fire with commenters saying they will no longer watch Batali on his new talk show The Chew or eat at his restaurants. Batali is co-owner of Eataly, an Italian gastronomic mall in Manhattan's Flatiron.
